I have over 7,000 pictures saved on my phone, and probably half of them are quotes. I think it’s safe to say that I’m a huge lover of quotes. Therefore, putting together a post featuring my favorites has been particularly challenging – I’ve had quite a few to sort through.
What makes a quote truly memorable? In my opinion, a good quote is both captivating and thought-provoking. Perhaps it offers a new perspective on a current predicament or serves as guidance and comfort during a difficult time. I find it fascinating how just a few words can say so much.
Here is a compilation of some of my favorite quotes:
“I may not have remarkable victories, but I can amaze you with the defeats I’ve survived”
Anton Chekhov
“I have no special talents, I am only passionately curious”
Albert Einstein
“Understanding is more important than memorization. School should be teaching the students how to understand, think, doubt, and question. They should be made open to imagination and creativity”
Richard Feynman
“Si les femmes baissaient les bras, le monde s’écroulerait”
” If women gave up, the world would collapse”
Proverbe Africain
“Whatever our souls are made of, his and mine are the same”
Emily Brontë
“What do we live for, if it’s not to make life less difficult for each other”
George Eliot
“May you attract someone who speaks your language, so you don’t have to spend a lifetime translating your soul”
Thema Bryant-Davis
“You are worn and cracked and dented. And that is okay, because I have never heard of a clean and shiny sword that won a war”
Erin Van Vuren
